Ttitle: Quantum-Accelerated Supercomputing: Where we are and where we need to go.

Abstract: Quantum computing is a breakthrough science and technology star, but its true power lies in partnering with supercomputing. In this presentation, I’ll highlight LRZ’s multi-dimensional efforts to provide, merge and optimize various quantum accelerators into HPC workflows and into HPC centers. This includes insights into the development of the Munich Quantum Software Stack and its mission to compute with hybrid HPC-QC using multiple quantum systems. I’ll discuss where we are at this point in time with quantum computing and what hurdles (we know about) now to overcome to get where we need to go next.
