Specialization in quantum computing
Quantum and High Performance Computing (QHPC)
The Quantum and High Performance Computing group (QHPC) of the University of Oviedo was formally created in 2019, as an evolution of the "Information Retrieval and Parallel Computing Group" (IRPC, 2004). The new group incorporates, to the traditional "High Performance Computing and Information Retrieval", two new research lines: "Quantum Computing" and "Biosignal Processing".
Information and Quantum Computing Research Group (GIICC)
We are a group formed by researchers belonging to the E.T.S. de Ingenieros Informáticos and the E.T.S. de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, experts in the areas of applied mathematics, physics and computer science, among others.
Our group is part of the Computational Simulation Research Center, whose objective is the application of advanced computational techniques for the simulation of complex phenomena in Science and Engineering.
Photonics, Quantum Information and Radiation and Scattering Group
of waves (GFOR)
Within the research line of quantum information, the G-FOR group addresses the studies of new photonic schemes for quantum computing and multiplexing of quantum data:Quantum computing systems.
