Spring School on Superconducting Qubit Technology

May 21 @ 08:00 - May 30 @ 17:00

Quantum computing based on superconducting qubit technology is currently one of the leading platforms in the race towards quantum utility. It is a highly multidisciplinary field and requires expertise in subjects like microwave engineering, circuit design, nanofabrication, measurement technology, quantum optics and metrology, as well as cryogenics.

Celebrating already its 2nd edition, this school aims to cover a broad range among those subjects needed for a quantum physicist or engineer to work with superconducting devices. We invite expert speakers from universities, research institutes, and companies, to cover not only the basics but also the specific techniques required to design, fabricate, and operate quantum devices based on superconducting circuits. Moreover, there will be time and space for the participants to interact with and learn from each other. In fact, we encourage the attendees to actively contribute to the school during the self-organized sessions, which the participants shall use to learn from each other, brainstorm, solve problems, or establish collaborations. Therefore, we cordially invite not only PhD students and PostDocs but also quantum engineers with any academic background to enhance their training and strengthen the superconducting devices community.

Confirmed Speakers

  • William D. Oliver (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA)
  • Yvonne Y. Gao (National University of Singapore, Singapore)
  • Ioan M. Pop (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany)
  • Nicolas Roch (Institut Néel – CNRS, Grenoble, France)
  • Pol Forn-Díaz (Institut de Física d’Altes Energies, Barcelona, Spain)
  • Andreas Wallraff (ETH Zurich, Switzerland)
